This 2 day, 1 night wanderer tour is perfect for those who want to experience Wadi Rum at its best but don't have plenty of time. On the first day we take you on a half day jeep tour. We will use our jeep with open back to drive you to the Khazali Canyon and its ancient inscriptions, the red sand dune with amazing views over the desert, Lawrence spring, the Small Arch and Um Fruth Rock Bridge which offer amazing scramble and photo opportunities. We will drop you off at the start of Abu Khashaba canyon, through which you can hike all the way to the end (30-45min), where we will pick you up again. For the best sunset view we will drive to Um Sabatah, where we will watch sunset and enjoy Bedouin tea around a small campfire. After sunset we take you to our Bedouin camp and show you how we cook our traditional dinner. At night we dance the Dabke together or chat around the campfire. After breakfast the next day we take you back to the village.

Itinerary of Wanderer tour

Day 1 / half day jeep tour

In the afternoon we will meet you at the parking lot of Wadi Rum Village. Here you can hop on our 4x4 Jeep and store your bags inside the car. During our Jeep tour we will stop at different important and famous places in Wadi Rum, like Khazali Canyon, Lawrence Spring, the Red Sand Dune, the Small Arch and Um Fruth Rock Bridge. At all these places we will stop the car and have time to explore the sites, climb on the rocks and take some nice photos. Later we will drive you to Abu Khashaba canyon, through which you can walk all the way to the other side in 30 minutes, where we will pick you up again. If you are up for it we will have some time to try sandboarding from one of the big sand dunes. At the end of the day, we will go Um Sabatah to watch the amazing view during sunset. Your guide will prepare a campfire and some Bedouin tea, to enjoy during the sunset. From here we will drive you back to our camp for dinner, some evening dancing and a good night sleep.

Day 2 / return to the village

After a big breakfast buffet in the camp we will bring you back to Wadi Rum Village

Additional information

Meeting place of the tour is the Parking Lot of Wadi Rum Village or the camp.

The starting time is at 2pm (winter) / 3pm (summer)

Tour prices are based on shared tours. Prices for private tours on request.

All our stays and tours have a free cancellation policy.

You can sleep under the stars instead of in our camp for an extra fee.

You can extend your wanderers tour with a 1/2hrs or 1hrs camel ride.

- the entrance fee for Wadi Rum Protected Area (paid at Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, 5JD per person or free with the Jordan Pass)

- this package deal is only for the combination full day tour with overnight in the camp. If you want to sleep in the cave you have to book the tour and the camp separately.
