This 2 day, 1 night explorer tour is one of our most popular tours. You will experience all the highlights of Wadi Rum for a good price. On the first day we take you on a full day jeep tour. This is the best way to explore the most famous sites of the beautiful Wadi Rum desert and experience Bedouin life. We will use our jeep with open back to drive you to the Khazali Canyon and its ancient inscriptions, the red sand dune with amazing views over the desert, Lawrence spring and Lawrence’s house (from the famous Lawrence of Arabia), the Small Arch, Um Fruth Rock Bridge, Burdah Rock Bridge, and the Mushroom Rock which offer amazing scramble and photo opportunities. We will drop you off at the start of Abu Khashaba canyon, through which you can hike all the way to the end (30-45min), where we will pick you up again. For the best sunset view we will drive to Um Sabatah, where we will watch sunset and enjoy Bedouin tea around a small campfire. After sunset we take you to our Bedouin camp and show you how we cook our traditional dinner. At night we can dance the Dabke together or chat around the campfire. After breakfast the next day we take you back to the village.

Itinerary of the Explorer Tour

Day 1 / full day jeep tour

In the morning we will meet you at the parking lot of Wadi Rum Village. Here you can hop on our 4x4 Jeep and store your bags inside the car. During our Jeep tour we will stop at different important and famous places in Wadi Rum, like Khazali Canyon, Lawrence Spring, Lawrence House, the Red Sand Dune, Mushroom Rock, the Small Arch, Burdah Rock Bridge and Um Fruth Bridge. At all these places we will stop the car and have time to explore the sites, climb on the rocks and take some nice photos. During lunchtime we will sit down at a nice quiet spot in the shade for a big picnic. Your guide will prepare you a Bedouin meal. Let us know if you have any dietary wishes. Later we will drive you to Abu Khashaba canyon, through which you can walk all the way to the other side in 30 minutes, where we will pick you up again. If you are up for it we will have some time to try sandboarding from one of the big sand dunes. At the end of the day, we will go Um Sabatah to watch the amazing view during sunset. Your guide will prepare a campfire and some Bedouin tea, to enjoy during the sunset. From here we will drive you back to our camp or for dinner, some evening dancing and a good night sleep.

Day 2 / return to the village

After a big breakfast buffet in the camp we will bring you back to Wadi Rum Village

Additional information

Meeting place of the tour is the Parking Lot of Wadi Rum Village or the camp.

The starting time is at 10.00am.

Tour prices are based on shared tours. Prices for private tours on request.

Tour extensions

You can sleep under the stars instead of in our camp for an extra fee.

You can extend your explorer tour with a 1/2hrs or 1hrs camel ride.

What is excluded:

- the entrance fee for Wadi Rum Protected Area (paid at Wadi Rum Visitor Centre, 5JD per person or free with the Jordan Pass)

- this package deal is only for the combination full day tour with overnight in the camp. If you want to sleep in the cave you have to book the tour and the camp separately.
